Role Context

This role is within the microfinance sector, focusing on empowering communities through financial services.

Responsibilities

• The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing microfinance field operations, managing branches, credit portfolios, and field operations teams.
• Key duties include managing delinquency, default recovery, and credit risk assessment.
• The role also involves extensive travel to rural and semi-urban branch locations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates must possess a Degree in Microfinance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in microfinance field operations is required, with at least 2-3 years specifically in managing branches, credit portfolios, or field operations teams.

Core Competencies

• Essential competencies include deep expertise in microfinance lending methodologies, a strong track record in delinquency management, default recovery, and credit risk assessment.
• Willingness to travel extensively to rural and semi-urban branch locations is crucial.
• Hands-on experience with Loan Management Systems (LMS) and mobile collection technology is also required.
