Job Summary
The Office Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the health center. As this is a newly established facility, the role requires attention to detail, adherence to healthcare cleaning standards, and a commitment to infection prevention and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize waiting areas, consultation rooms, treatment rooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors regularly
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, desks, counters, medical equipment surfaces, light switches, etc.)
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies (soap, tissue, paper towels)
- Empty waste bins and dispose of general and medical waste according to health and safety regulations
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance issues
- Follow infection control procedures and health center hygiene protocols
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and used appropriately
- Assist with initial deep cleaning and setup support for the new facility
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting
- Knowledge of basic infection control and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare environment
Skills & Competencies
- Time management skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Good communication skills
Working Conditions
- May require early mornings, evenings, or weekend shifts
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and medical waste (with proper protective equipment provided)
- Must follow strict hygiene and safety guidelines
