K-FINANCE is a Bank of Tanzania-regulated microfinance institution operating in Tanzania. The institution is growing its portfolio and expanding into new markets across the country.

K-FINANCE is seeking an experienced and well-connected Independent Non-Executive Director to strengthen its Board’s capabilities in business growth, operational efficiency, and strategic partnerships.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Proven experience in market entry and business expansion in Tanzania and/or Africa.
• A background in telecommunications, mobile money, or financial services, with strong commercial understanding.
• A demonstrated track record of developing high-value strategic partnerships that drive revenue and market reach.
• At least five (5) years of senior board or executive leadership experience.
• Strong professional networks among Tanzanian business leaders, sector bodies, and financiers.

Role Overview

This is a non-executive board role for an experienced professional who can contribute to the institution’s growth and strategic direction, particularly in:

• Opening and entering new markets.
• Developing and structuring strategic partnerships.
• Supporting business growth and revenue expansion.
• Strengthening operational efficiency.
• Providing strategic oversight and governance at Board level.
