The Maths Teacher delivers rigorous mathematics instruction, develops students' problem-solving skills, and prepares them for examinations.

Teaching & Instruction:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons covering arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, and calculus as per the curriculum .
  • Use a range of instructional strategies (direct instruction, group work, hands-on activities, technology) to cater to different learning styles and abilities .
  • Develop students' problem-solving, logical reasoning, and critical thinking skills through challenging and varied activities .
  • Demonstrate the relevance of mathematics in everyday life, science, technology, and future careers .

Student Assessment & Progress:

  • Set, administer, and mark tests, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support student progress .
  • Track and monitor student performance, identifying those who require additional support or extension .
  • Prepare students for external examinations (e.g., Cambridge IGCSE, A-Level, or national exams) with a record of strong outcomes .

Classroom Management:

  • Maintain a positive, orderly, and focused learning environment .
  • Establish and enforce clear expectations for behavior and academic effort .

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning .
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress .
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events .
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities related to mathematics (e.g., math club, competitions) .
