JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
To drive market growth by building and managing relationships between farmers and buyers, developing agricultural market channels, and implementing strategies to increase the company's market presence and sales of produce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new market opportunities for agricultural products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and key market buyers.
- Conduct market research and analysis to understand trends, pricing, and demand.
- Develop and execute market development plans and strategies.
- Organize and participate in farmer training, meetings, and market linkage events.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with buyers and suppliers.
- Monitor competitor activity and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Prepare regular reports on market development activities and outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong understanding of agricultural markets, supply chains, and produce.
- Proven experience working directly with farmers and market buyers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Prior experience in agribusiness, market linkage, or agricultural extension services is preferred.
