Job Purpose:

Responsible to prepare, engage in, contact, and ensure trade-related products on the area of expertise are processed according to the governing rules.

Main Responsibilities:

• Create weekly, quarterly and monthly plans to ensure delivery on objectives for the year
• Ensures Trade Finance products processes and controls set support NMB's overall business strategy
• Take accountability for the monitoring and achievement of performance objectives.
• Manage key risk indicators falling under the role and escalate any risk issues identified during the processes in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to the company's security policy and controls in accessing the system.
• Evaluate the current market offerings in trade finance specialization especially on infrastructure, offering competitive services and products.
• Be the central point of contact as far as products sales & services are concerned.
• Support Transactional Banking and coverage teams across the business segments to ensure all ideas generated are appropriately executed including end to end process.
• Generate leads to other units of the bank in cross-selling banks products through supporting Panbank initiatives.
• Spot opportunities across banking prepositions and provide specialization advice.
• Review utilization against approved limit in offer letter, prices and limit is set before processing of contracts or any product related.
• Review daily/monthly reports especially for reconciliations of Letter of Credit, Cash cover, Guarantee, Trade loans ensuring settlements are timely done.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Business understanding of Tanzanian Banking products and systems that support them, and a good understanding of other international products.
• Technical - Computer literacy
• Behavioral- Building Partnerships, Decision making, Work Standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Tax or related fields.
• Certification in Trade Finance – CITF/CPA/CPB will be an added advantage
• At least 3 years' experience in Trade Finance
• Banking Operations experience preferably in payments
• Experience in transaction Monitoring & Financial Crime
