Role Overview:
To serve as an academic physician in Internal Medicine, with subspecialty expertise, providing clinical care, teaching, and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient internal medicine care, with possible subspecialty focus (cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, nephrology, etc.).
- Teach medical students and residents in clinical and classroom settings.
- Conduct clinical or translational research in a medical subspecialty.
- Mentor junior faculty, residents, and medical students.
- Lead multidisciplinary patient management, grand rounds, and journal clubs.
- Contribute to clinical guidelines and hospital protocols.
Requirements:
- MMed in Internal Medicine; subspecialty fellowship preferred.
- PhD or research experience advantageous.
- Mandatory GPA: Master’s (MMed) GPA ≥ 4.0; Bachelor’s (MBBS/MD) GPA ≥ 3.5.
- Clinical teaching experience.
- Commitment to academic medicine and patient care.
