Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly professional, polished, and experienced Head Butler to lead our butler team at Elephant Lodge. You will be responsible for delivering an impeccable, personalized, and luxurious service experience to our guests. This role requires a leader who can anticipate guest needs, oversee high-end service standards, and manage the butler team to ensure every stay is memorable.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service Excellence: Provide personalized, anticipatory service to all guests, managing their expectations and ensuring all requests are met with efficiency and a smile.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor the butler team, scheduling shifts and ensuring service standards are consistently met.
VIP Handling: Personally attend to VIP guests, dignitaries, and repeat clientele, ensuring their preferences are known and catered to.
Operational Management: Oversee the butler station, manage in-room dining service, and assist guests with itinerary planning, luggage handling, and special requests.
Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet the lodge's high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Inventory & Stock: Manage the inventory of butler-related supplies and amenities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a luxury hotel or lodge, with at least 2 years in a supervisory butler role.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Impeccable grooming and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili is a strong advantage.
- Must be eligible to work in Tanzania.
