JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose 
The successful candidate will be responsible for to feed water into boiler drums correctly in order to achieve KPA’s for steam production. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Run and monitor boilers feed water pumps.
• Maintain the housekeeping at all time during the shift.
• Frequently check for condensate level required.
• Check for storage water to CLEAR WATER TANKS if available.
• Check for softener machine whether is on or off.
• Check & report for any deviation either PH,PPM OR TDS and report it to steam & power gen foreman.
• Taking sample to laboratory for any deviation according to parameters required.
• Ensure the availability of chemical dosing all the time during the shift.
• Monitor for chemical dosing pumps speed to control the PH & TDS deviation.
• Filling the right chemical dosing to advantage,amersite & caustic soda tanks.
• Use one storage tank to draw water to the boilers and other one for receiving condensate at the same time in the storage tank.
• Sample and analyse water in the tank & get permission from steam & power gen foreman before using a tank to draw water to the boilers.
• To do PH, TDS & SUGAR testing every hour.

Job Requirements:

• Ordinary level of secondary Education or above
• Holder of Veta trade test grade II or above in fitting or Plumbing
• 2+ years post experience in a heavy industry environment with at least 1 years in the sugar industry.
• Computer literacy.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Mentally and physically fit.

Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on Permanent Contract.

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: high school
