Responsibilities or duties

prechecks: Undertakes effectively the checking of hydraulics, oil level, coolant level, brake fluid level, lighting and general equipment body checks-ups before use in order to ensure its working condition.

Pipeline Repairs: Operate effectively, earth moving equipment in order to facilitate pipeline and wash out repairs

Planned Maintenance: Operate regularly earth moving equipment during. ROW grading and clearance in order to facilitate access to the pipeline.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Participates actively in monitoring and evaluation of earth moving machinery performance in order to facilitate interventions.

Equipment Upkeep: Undertakes effectively the upkeep of earth moving machinery in order to ensure correction of any defects and their cleanliness.

Record Keeping: Participates timely in compilation of scheduled and corrective maintenance documentation in order to retain a record for the section.

Work sites: Participates actively in good housekeeping of the worksites in order to eliminate hazards and ensure safety of staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Form IV Certificate
• Certificate in Earthmoving Equipment Operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer literacy
• Able to write technical report
• Troubleshooting skills
• Team working skills
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written in English and Swahili

Experience needed

Minimum Experience Required

• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience

• Undertakes effectively the checking of hydraulics, oil level, coolant level, brake fluid level, lighting and general equipment body checks-ups before use in order to ensure its working condition.
• Operate effectively, earth moving equipment in order to facilitate pipeline and wash out repairs
