Background

PaveWay Africa Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented XCMG Sales Manager to join its team in Dar es Salaam. The role focuses on driving sales growth for XCMG construction equipment and heavy machinery products while building strong relationships with customers across the construction, mining, transportation, and industrial sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, promoting machinery and equipment solutions, negotiating sales agreements, and achieving sales targets. This position requires strong technical sales capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of the heavy equipment and construction machinery market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and heavy equipment sectors.
  • Promote and sell XCMG construction equipment, machinery, trucks, and related products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and sales meetings.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales agreements.
  • Negotiate contracts and successfully close sales opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
  • Provide technical product information and guidance to customers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and pipeline reports.
  • Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and marketing activities.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries and provide after-sales support.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and performance objectives.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant sales experience.
  • Experience in construction equipment, heavy machinery, trucks, automobiles, industrial equipment, or related technical product sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, business development, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing abilities.
  • High proficiency in both English and Swahili.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical product specifications effectively.
