Resourceful Hub, on behalf of our client in the manufacturing industry, is seeking to hire a skilled and hands-on Workshop Manager. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to oversee the maintenance workshop and ensure all machinery, vehicles, and equipment are maintained to the highest operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise all workshop activities, including machinery and vehicle maintenance, repair, and servicing.
  • Ensure timely scheduling and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Manage workshop workflows to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, mechanics, and support staff.
  • Allocate daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance.
  • Foster a safe, organized, and motivated working environment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Ensure timely procurement and proper storage of workshop materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and prevent wastage or misuse.
  • Enforce health and safety standards across all workshop activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and tool audits.
  • Prepare and manage the workshop budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Track and report on maintenance costs, equipment availability, and workshop KPIs.
  • Generate and present maintenance and operations reports to management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in workshop management, maintenance, or mechanical operations—preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse technical team.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an added advantage.
