Responsibilities or duties
- Maintain and ensure that company vehicles and machinery operate safely and efficiently.
- Carry out regular inspections to identify and repair welding-related faults.
- Reduce equipment downtime through proper welding and fabrication work.
- Provide technical advice regarding maintenance and proper use of machinery.
- Inspect and repair welding-related faults on equipment.
- Carry out maintenance and repairs, including replacement and welding of damaged metal parts.
- Prepare maintenance and repair reports for supervisors.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and safely used.
- Work in accordance with company safety standards and procedures.
- Cooperate with other employees in carrying out maintenance and repair work.
Qualifications or requirementsÂ
- Valid driving licence, if applicable, with a certificate in Welding/Metalwork.
- Ability to identify and repair welding and metalwork faults effectively.
- Ability to use welding tools and equipment safely.
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings and machine instructions.
- Integrity, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and use of personal protective equipment.
