Key accountabilities
- Maintaining optimum stocks, with minimum stockholding costs, without compromising on production and maintenance processes.
- Manage receipt, maintenance and issue of all Warehouse inventory using computer software SAP real-time (same day processing).
- Ensure that quantities and quality delivered by suppliers fulfil the contractual commitment on purchase orders at the point of receipt.
- Issue goods rejection notes for non-conforming materials/goods delivered and making sure suppliers collect the goods for replacement or issue credit note.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of movements and transactions by regularly reviewing suitable reports. Reports, frequency and ownership are defined in the Warehouse procedures.
- Maintain Warehouse in accordance with EABL Warehouse procedures, Diageo Physical Security Policy, Diageo Quality Policy, Diageo Risk Standards and CARM.
- Daily review of warehouse to confirm cleanliness and proper arrangement of materials & spares according to 5S.
- Preparation, participation and follow up of regular stock counts in accordance with the stock counting procedures. This includes preparation of Warehouse ahead of stock count, printing and distribution of count sheets, reconciliation of physical to book stock and investigation and follow up of variances.
- Regular reconciliation of all sku’s using a standard reconciliation template. All variances of physical vs book quantity are explained and followed up on a timely basis. Frequency of reconciliation depends on nature of inventory (as detailed in Warehouse procedures).
- Applying the Diageo Health & Safety rules at all times and during all Warehouse processes for themselves and other people
- Assist in planning, development and implementation of all Warehouse projects.
- Independently manage all Warehouse processes assigned to Warehouse Coordinator using computer software SAP real-time.
- Maintain Warehouse according to EABL Warehouse procedures and other relevant Diageo policies.
- Daily review of cleanliness of Warehouse and proper arrangement of spares
- Preparation, participation and follow up of regular stock counts
- Subsequent monthly reconciliation of all SKU’s and follow up of all variances identified during the stock count and reconciliation process
- Regular review of Warehouse reports and follow up of issues.
Experience / skills required:
- A degree in a business-related subject.
- 3 years Inventory Management experience preferably in FMCG industry.
- Graduate Diploma in Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (an added advantage).
- SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
