About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Advisor to provide technical leadership and field support to poultry farmers, distributors, internal teams and regional stakeholders. This role requires strong veterinary expertise, people skills and confidence to advise, train and troubleshoot in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Veterinary Advisor, you will:

  • Lead poultry disease surveillance and submit reports with expert technical recommendations.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to small- and large-scale farmers.
  • Implement and monitor poultry vaccination programmes, ensuring full compliance.
  • Conduct post-mortems and diagnostic examinations to analyse mortality causes.
  • Deliver technical training to employees, customers, sales teams and distributors.
  • Communicate industry updates, innovations and best practices to enhance farmer performance.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree (BVSc/DVM).
  • Registered with the Tanzania Veterinary Association.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in poultry practice (clinical & sample analysis preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching ability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage regional field duties.
  • Residing in, or willing to relocate to, Kilimanjaro or Arusha regions.
