JOB DETAILS:

Mascons Tanzania Limited is a Tanzanian company engaged in construction activities, rental of plant and heavy machinery, as well as the supply of construction materials. Due to the expansion of its operations, the company invites applications from qualified and experienced Tanzanians for the following positions:

Truck Tippers – 6 Positions

Truck Tipper drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tipper trucks to transport and deliver loose materials like aggregate, soil, and debris .

Safe Driving: Operate the tipper truck safely, adhering to all road regulations, company policies, and fatigue management protocols while transporting materials to and from sites .

Loading and Tipping: Safely position the truck at loading or unloading sites and use the lifting and tipping devices to discharge materials precisely at the designated location .

Load Security: Assess the load to ensure it is correctly distributed and restrained in the tip tray in compliance with transportation regulations and weight limits. Arrange and stow goods to ensure stability and prevent shifting during transit .

Vehicle Inspections: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels, and report any issues .

Documentation: Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, and fuel usage logs. Verify that delivery documents match the actual goods being transported .

Safety and Compliance: Follow all site traffic management plans and workplace health and safety procedures. Use appropriate safety equipment and maintain a safety-first mindset .

Equipment Care: Keep the truck and other company equipment in a clean and tidy state .

These positions are for Casual Employment. However, good work performance, discipline, accountability, and dedication may enable an employee to be offered permanent employment based on company needs and performance evaluation.

Qualifications for Applicants

Must have experience operating the relevant machine or equipment.

Must have a valid driving license permitting the operation of the relevant machine or equipment.

Must have an understanding of health and safety procedures in the workplace.

Must be disciplined, honest, responsible, and capable of working effectively.
