Job Overview
The Telesales Manager (Value & Return) will be responsible for leading the Value and Return Teams and driving portfolio growth through:
- Top-up loans
- Repeat financing
- Reactivation of past clients
The role focuses on customer retention, upselling, repeat conversions, and maximizing customer lifetime value.
Key Responsibilities
The Telesales Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
- Lead, supervise, and manage Telesales Agents handling active clients under the Value Team and past clients under the Return Team.
- Set and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly targets for top-ups, repeat loans, and client reactivations.
- Track team performance against key performance indicators and provide structured coaching and feedback.
- Oversee the full sales cycle, from client engagement to successful loan disbursement.
- Develop and refine sales scripts tailored to upselling, cross-selling, and repeat financing.
- Design incentive schemes to motivate agents and support repeat business growth.
- Prepare monthly performance and bonus reports based on target achievement.
- Analyze portfolio trends, repayment behavior, and customer data to identify sales opportunities.
- Train and mentor agents on retention strategies, objection handling, and relationship management.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of telesales agents.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in telesales management, preferably in financial services.
- Strong experience in B2C sales, customer retention, or portfolio growth strategies.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret portfolio data and identify upsell opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Target-driven mindset with strong organizational and decision-making skills.
