Starrich Consulting International is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and highly organized Store Keeper to support inventory and warehouse operations for one of its clients in Arusha. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods and materials while ensuring accurate record-keeping and proper stock control systems. The role requires an individual with high integrity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records in both manual and digital systems. The Store Keeper will play a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations by maintaining proper storage conditions, monitoring stock levels, preventing losses, and supporting regular audits and inventory reconciliations. This position demands accuracy, discipline, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced operational environment where accountability and attention to detail are critical for success.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes to ensure accuracy in quantity, quality, and specification before recording them into the inventory system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records by documenting all stock movements including receipts, issues, returns, and transfers while ensuring proper reconciliation between physical stock and system records.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits, identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and report findings to supervisors for corrective action and improved stock control processes.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and arrangement of goods in the warehouse to maintain orderliness, facilitate easy identification, and prevent damage, loss, or deterioration of stock.
- Issue materials and supplies to authorized personnel based on approved requisitions while ensuring proper documentation, sign-offs, and accountability for all items released from the store.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any other related field from a recognized institution. A minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in inventory management, warehousing, or storekeeping is required, preferably within manufacturing, FMCG, construction, or energy sectors. The candidate must demonstrate strong computer literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, and the ability to prepare accurate and clear written reports in English. Strong attention to detail, integrity, accountability, and organizational skills are essential for this role. The candidate should also be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of accuracy and discipline in managing company assets and inventory records.
