Background

This role is for a Stock Accountant responsible for managing inventory financial records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for all inventory movements, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
• Perform regular reconciliation between physical stock counts and system records (ERP/Excel) to identify and investigate variances.
• Calculate the cost of goods sold (COGS) and track inventory valuation using FIFO, LIFO, or weighted-average methods.
• Prepare daily/weekly stock reports for management, highlighting slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged items.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure proper documentation (waybills, GRNs, and requisition forms) for all stock transactions.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting by providing historical inventory data and consumption trends.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies regarding inventory management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
• Good communication and computer skills.
