Entry Qualifications:

  • Must be a Tanzanian Citizen.
  • Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Sociology, Guidance and Counseling, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
  • At least two (2) years of working experience in a related field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review the Construction Environmental and Social Management Plan (C-ESMP) to ensure compliance with the project’s Social Management Plan (EMP).
  • Oversee the execution of the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) and other social management plans.
  • Facilitate the establishment and operationalization of a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) and ensure its effective implementation.
  • Coordinate local community participation in matters relating to the project.
  • Monitor and evaluate the Social Impact Assessment (SIA) of the project to identify and mitigate potential social risks.
  • Liaise with relevant institutions and stakeholders on matters pertaining to social issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager (PM).

Terms of Service

  • The employment contract is for a specified period of one year, renewable depending on the status/progress of the project.
  • Salary will follow the TANROADS salary scale, with additional site allowances as per the TANROADS Incentive Policy.
  • Successful applicants must be prepared to work for considerable lengths of time in Kahama District, where the project is located.
