Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Site Survey: Conduct and complete comprehensive site surveys at the launch of the project, strictly following instructions and guidelines from the Project Director (PD) / Engineering Manager (EM).
Equipment Verification: Inspect and verify the quantity and quality of telecom equipment upon arrival against the official packing list, under the direction of the PD/EM.
Supervision & Quality Control: Oversee and guide subcontractors' installers during the telecom equipment installation phase. Ensure all work is executed with high quality and strictly adheres to ZTE telecom equipment installation standards.
Project Acceptance: Cooperate closely with the PD/EM and customer engineers to facilitate and successfully complete the final project acceptance test.
Job Requirements
Education Background: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Work Experience: Proven experience in telecom site engineering, hardware installation, or site supervision. Prior experience with ZTE telecom equipment and installation standards is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with telecom site survey procedures, hardware deployment specifications, and engineering acceptance criteria. Strong capability in managing subcontractors and resolving on-site technical issues.
Language Skills: Native or fluent in Swahili, with excellent professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken) to ensure seamless communication with the international project management team and customer engineers.
Core Competencies: High sense of responsibility, strong quality awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the pace of field-based telecom engineering projects.
