The Senior Manager: Marketing & Corporate Communications is a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the Bank’s marketing, branding, and communications agenda. The role drives visibility, engagement, and reputation across all customer segments and stakeholders through high-impact marketing initiatives, digital campaigns, brand positioning, public relations, and event management.
This individual will lead a small internal team while working extensively with creative, media, PR, digital, and event agencies to deliver integrated marketing solutions. The role demands creativity, commercial thinking, and operational excellence to enhance the Bank’s brand equity and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute the annual marketing and communications strategy aligned with the Bank’s business goals and brand positioning.
- Lead 360° marketing plans across customer acquisition, retention, product launches, and digital banking engagement.
- Build integrated campaigns combining ATL (Above The Line), BTL (Below The Line) digital, influencer, experiential, and content marketing.
Digital Marketing & Performance
- Champion the Bank’s digital marketing initiatives including SEO/SEM, display, programmatic, email marketing, social media, paid media, and retargeting.
- Collaborate with products and business teams to promote campaigns.
- Monitor and optimize marketing ROI using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, CRM dashboards, etc.).
Branding & Visibility
- Oversee brand consistency and governance across all touchpoints—physical, digital, and experiential.
- Work with creative agencies to evolve brand identity and tone of voice.
- Ensure strong visibility through outdoor media, sponsorships, CSR initiatives, and employer branding campaigns.
Corporate Communications
- Manage all internal and external communications to uphold a positive, consistent, and credible image of the Bank.
- Develop and implement media relations strategies including press releases, media interviews, and press briefings.
- Craft compelling narratives and messaging for corporate announcements, product launches, and executive communications.
Agency & Vendor Management
- Serve as the lead liaison for all external marketing and communications agencies—creative, digital, PR, media buying, event, and production.
- Manage agency briefs, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and evaluations.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and alignment of agency outputs with strategic objectives.
Events & Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate high-impact internal and external events including product launches, branch activations, CSR, and other stakeholder forums.
- Liaise with internal teams, C-suite, and partners to ensure seamless planning, logistics, and brand representation.
- Create post-event reviews, impact reports, and recommendations.
Reputation Management & Crisis Comms
- Monitor brand sentiment and manage reputation risks in collaboration with Risk and Compliance teams.
- Prepare and activate crisis communication protocols when necessary.
- Provide media training and talking points for senior leaders.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing internal marketing team.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams (Retail, Digital, Corporate Affairs, HR, Compliance, etc.).
- Drive a culture of creativity, agility, and performance within the department.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
- 7–10 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in banking, fintech, or telecom.
- Proven experience leading agency relationships and digital-first campaigns.
- Strong understanding of media planning, digital tools, analytics, and brand development.
- Experience in managing corporate communications, media relations, and crisis communications.
