Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all planned jobs align with HSE standards, safety protocols, and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Liaise with supervisors to confirm that planned activities are executed within allocated timelines.
  • Ensure availability of all spare parts required for maintenance and repairs to avoid delays.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for all repairs and maintenance for future reference.
  • Certify materials received in the warehouse for quality and quantity, ensuring only approved spare parts are used.
  • Coordinate with production teams on planning major equipment overhauls (shutdowns) and maintenance downtime.
  • Monitor purchase orders for spare parts or services to ensure timely delivery from the most advantageous suppliers.
  • Train and support junior planners and review their outputs.
  • Review contractor maintenance programs.
  • Enhance equipment availability while optimizing cost management.
  • Investigate incidents or recurring failures to implement corrective actions and optimize maintenance intervals.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience: Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience with proven background in execution and maintenance planning, preferably in heavy industry, cement, mining, or busy manufacturing.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills) and CMMS (Work Order systems).
  • Ability to analyse engineering drawings (AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage).
  • Ability to suggest and select better tools for Preventive and Predictive Maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance procedures, equipment, and troubleshooting.
