Job Summary:

The Senior Accounting Officer will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate financial and business records in accordance with accounting principles. As a team leader, they will ensure the timely and precise reporting of financial information.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analyze accounting records and financial statements to assess accuracy and completeness.
• Review account records to ensure accuracy and coordinate auditing with external auditors.
• Oversee monthly reconciliation and financial reporting for all receivables and payables.
• Develop systems for maintaining financial records using current technologies.
• Create forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel.
• Assist with budget preparation and management.
• Stay current on trends, practices, and developments in the accounting and finance profession.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Academic/Professional Qualifications & Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent number of years of experience plus seven years of accounting experience.
• A CPA designation is preferred.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and solve problems under pressure.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a complex environment and learn new concepts.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and French, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain a professional image, pay close attention to details, and manage deadlines
