Background

Mascons Tanzania Limited is a Tanzanian company engaged in construction activities, rental of plant and heavy machinery, as well as the supply of construction materials. Due to the expansion of its operations, the company invites applications from qualified and experienced Tanzanians for the following positions:

Responsibilities

• Loading and Mixing: Load the required quantities of aggregates, sand, cement, and water into the mixer drum according to the specified mix design, and monitor the mixing process to achieve the desired concrete consistency and quality .
• Operation and Discharge: Safely drive the self-loading mixer to and from sites, and discharge the mixed concrete to the desired location at the work site .
• Pre-Operation Checks: Carry out pre-operational checks on the mixer, ensuring mechanical systems, hydraulics, and controls are in good working condition before use .
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance tasks, and troubleshoot minor equipment issues to prevent downtime. Report any major malfunctions to the maintenance team .
• Quality Control: Monitor the consistency of the concrete mix and adjust proportions as necessary to meet project specifications. Report any deviations from quality standards .
• Documentation: Accurately record equipment hours, fuel usage, maintenance activities, and concrete production and delivery logs .
• Safety Protocols: Adhere strictly to site safety protocols and traffic management rules while operating and moving the mixer on site .

Qualifications

• Must have experience operating the relevant machine or equipment.
• Must have a valid driving license permitting the operation of the relevant machine or equipment.
• Must have an understanding of health and safety procedures in the workplace.
• Must be disciplined, honest, responsible, and capable of working effectively.
