The Security Officer is responsible for protecting company assets, personnel, and premises against theft, vandalism, fire, and unauthorized access. This position requires high vigilance, professional conduct, and strict adherence to access control procedures in a high-traffic industrial environment.

Responsibilities or duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Access Control:
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verifying identification and authorization of all personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Manage the issuance and collection of visitor passes and vehicle permits.
• Patrol & Surveillance:
  • Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the perimeter, storage areas, and operational zones.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels; report any irregularities or malfunctions immediately.
• Incident Response:
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations (fires, medical incidents, security breaches).
  • Write detailed incident reports and maintain a daily occurrence log.
• Asset Protection:
  • Prevent unauthorized removal of company property or tools.
  • Conduct random vehicle inspections at gatehouses.
• Compliance:
  • Ensure all security protocols and site safety regulations are enforced.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
• Certifications: Valid Security Guard License; First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Physical: Must be physically fit; ability to stand/walk for long periods.
