Job Description
Only One Travel is seeking a Sales and Operations Specialist to join its team in Dar es Salaam. The role combines travel sales, customer relationship management, booking coordination, and day-to-day travel operations, making it suitable for someone who can manage both client-facing and administrative responsibilities.
The successful candidate will help convert enquiries into bookings while coordinating the logistics required to deliver smooth travel experiences. This includes preparing itineraries and quotations, communicating with suppliers, maintaining booking records, coordinating travel arrangements, and providing after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations, proposals, itineraries, booking confirmations, invoices, and other travel documents.
- Follow up with prospective and existing clients to support sales conversions.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Coordinate reservations and bookings with hotels, lodges, transport providers, guides, airlines, and other suppliers.
- Maintain accurate client files and booking records.
- Keep payment records, supplier information, and operational documentation updated.
- Support daily sales and operations activities.
- Prepare sales reports, operational reports, and booking summaries.
- Coordinate accommodation, transfers, excursions, activities, domestic travel, and special client requests.
- Support improvements to sales workflows and booking processes.
- Help improve customer service procedures.
- Provide after-sales support throughout the customer journey.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and help resolve service-related issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in travel sales and operations.
- Strong sales coordination and customer service skills.
- Experience with travel operations and itinerary coordination.
- Experience managing travel bookings and reservations.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
- Proficiency in customer relationship management and lead tracking.
- Good understanding of travel-industry service delivery standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple bookings and operational requirements effectively.
