Job Summary:
The Sales and Marketing Officer is responsible for promoting and selling Air tickets, tourism packages, and other travel-related services offered by Fastlink Safaris and Tours Limited. The role involves customer engagement, market research, partnership development, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Proactively sell Air tickets and tourism packages to individuals, travel agencies, and corporate clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer retention.
- Identify new business opportunities and establish partnerships with hotels, tour operators, and other travel service providers.
- Negotiate deals with corporate clients to increase bulk ticket sales and travel service subscriptions.
2. Marketing & Promotions
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote ticket sales and tourism packages.
- Organize promotional campaigns, digital marketing initiatives, and social media advertisements to increase customer reach.
- Represent Fastlink Safaris & Tours at travel expos, industry conferences, and networking events.
3. Customer Service & Client Relations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, assisting with bookings, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Offer professional advice on flight schedules, fares, visa requirements, and travel regulations.
- Handle customer complaints and escalate complex issues when necessary.
4. Market Research & Competitive Analysis
- Analyse industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to optimize sales approaches.
- Monitor airline pricing structures and recommend competitive pricing models to management.
- Gather client feedback and use insights to improve service offerings.
5. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on sales, marketing activities, and revenue generation.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and suggest improvements.
- Work closely with the finance department to ensure proper invoicing and payment tracking.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or travel consultancy.
- Knowledge of airline ticketing systems such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre is an added advantage.
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Customer service excellence and ability to resolve client issues professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.

- Revenue Growth – Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Customer Acquisition – Increase the number of new clients and corporate accounts.

- Works closely with: Sales Team, Finance Team, Operations Team, HR Department, and other Departments.
