Overview

Pin Destinations Travel is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused, and highly organized Sales and Marketing Officer to join its operations team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end travel services including air ticketing, transportation coordination, logistics management, and accommodation arrangements for both corporate and individual clients. The role combines sales, marketing, and operational support functions, requiring a professional who can effectively handle client inquiries, provide travel solutions, and ensure seamless coordination of all travel-related services. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced travel and logistics environment where customer satisfaction and efficiency are key priorities. This position also involves promoting company services, building strong client relationships, and contributing to business growth through effective sales and marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Handle air ticketing operations and travel reservations while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with airline and travel booking systems.
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics services for clients, including scheduling, routing, and ensuring timely and reliable service delivery.
  • Manage accommodation arrangements for corporate clients and travelers, ensuring bookings meet client needs, budgets, and service standards.
  • Support sales and marketing activities by engaging clients, promoting travel packages, and contributing to revenue growth through effective service delivery and customer relationship management.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, client interactions, and transactions while ensuring proper documentation and reporting of all travel-related operations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess relevant certifications in travel and tourism, including a valid IATA Certificate and Galileo Certificate as mandatory requirements. A minimum of two years of professional experience in travel operations, ticketing, logistics coordination, or related customer service roles is required. The candidate must demonstrate strong proficiency in English communication, with additional foreign language skills considered an added advantage. Strong knowledge of airline reservation systems, travel coordination processes, and customer service principles is essential. The candidate must also be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple client requests in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy in all tasks.
