VACANCIES
Musoma Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MUWASA) is a utility established under section 9 of the Water Supply and Sanitation Act No. 12 of 2009 with the objective of provision of Water Supply and Sanitation services in Musoma Municipality. In this respect, the activities of MUWASA have specifically expanded and the Authority now invites application from suitably qualified and skilled individuals who are dynamic and result oriented to fill the following posts:

Position: Sales Officer (Billing Officer)
Reporting to: Commercial Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
• To ensure reconciliation of totals of bills sent to customers with posting to the sales ledger on daily basis;
• To ensure counter-checking of calculations on customers water consumptions bills;
• To ensures that billing subordinates are properly trained and maintained the required standard of documentation,
• To ensure that accurate water bills are processed in time for the right customers in the right quantity of water consumed and right amount of water charged using appropriate water tariff.
• To check all bills for new water supply connection charges.
• To attend to enquiries from customers relating to water bills and ensure that correct replies are promptly provided.
• To receive all authorized amendments to customer's water bill and making necessary corrections.
• To maintain the sales ledger control accounts and ensures that each section of the sales ledger is reconciled with the control account each week.
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Economics, Statistics, Information Technology, Marketing, Sales Management or Business Administration from any internationally recognized university. He or she should have working experience in a relevant field and should be competent in sales and/or billing issues.
