Job Overview:
To diagnose, repair, adjust, and reassemble products or components that have failed quality inspections, ensuring they meet specified standards and are returned to the production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect defective assemblies or products to identify root causes of failure.
- Perform rework, repair, or adjustment operations using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Replace faulty components and reassemble products to meet quality specifications.
- Document rework activities, including defects found and corrections made.
- Collaborate with assemblers and quality inspectors to prevent recurring issues.
- Follow technical manuals, schematics, and work instructions.
- Maintain rework station tools and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- VETA Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Mechanics, or a related trade.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in rework, repair, or mechanical adjustment, preferably in an assembly plant.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
