~ All consultants must have skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, and speak and write in English and Kiswahili. They must also have a current Research Ethics certificate before being deployed to a study team.

RESEARCH SCIENTISTS
Our scientists have extensive experience in conducting research in their field of expertise and hold of a Masters or Ph.D. level degree. They have a solid understanding of research methodologies, keep abreast of research best practices, have acted as Principal Investigators or Co-Investigators, and are published as a primary or secondary author.

PROGRAM EXPERTS
Our program experts are seasoned or subject matter experts in technical areas of their respective sector. For example, for the health sector, we look for intervention experts in areas such as behavior change communication, supply chain, gender, policy analysis, market development approaches etc. and/or health areas such as Reproductive, Maternal, Adolescent and Child Health, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Nutrition, WASH, and Non-communicable diseases, among others. Our experts hold a Masters or Ph.D. level degree. We prefer candidates who have at least five years of experience in their field, have worked with an NGO, government institution, academia, or the private sector. Our program experts have a robust understanding of theoretical frameworks and models in their respective technical areas, keep abreast of scientific literature and evidence-based practices in their field, have a solid understanding of their respective ecosystem and are well-networked.

RESEARCH ASSISTANTS
Our typical Research Assistant candidates have a minimum of an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in areas such as health, education, community development, political science, economics, or marketing. They have field research experience in quantitative and/or qualitative data collection. They understand the social and cultural context. They have all been trained or are knowledgeable of research ethics, data quality, and interviewing/moderation techniques.

STUDY COORDINATORS
Our Study Coordinators are Project Managers who have strong team management and project coordination skills. They have great communication skills, extensive experience in field study logistics, and a solid understanding of requirements from local government authorities, research regulators, and other on-the-ground research concurrence procedures. We prefer individuals who have previously worked and excelled as Research Assistants at DAMAX and are adept to DAMAX’s standard operating procedures.

FIELD SUPERVISORS/QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGERS
These individuals have considerable experience in field data collection as previous RAs. They have a solid understanding of ethical principles, data quality assurance and control approaches, and data security. They have led field research efforts, and understand respondent recruitment strategies. We prefer individuals who have previously worked and excelled as Research Assistants at DAMAX and are adept to DAMAX’s standard operating procedures.

DATA ANALYSTS
We seek individuals who have received considerable training and gained technical skills in quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis. Candidates hold a Masters degree, and conversant with statistical software, such as STATA, SPSS, NVIVO, among others. They have led the development of data analysis plans and co-authored client research reports, and/or peer-reviewed journal articles.

REMUNERATION: You will be paid based on DAMAX and Client rates. You will also receive training and continuous support after the training.
