JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary:

To perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-rays) and assist in ultrasound examinations as directed, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis while maintaining patient safety.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Position patients correctly for X-ray examinations to ensure optimum image quality.
• Operate stationary and mobile radiographic equipment.
• Process and develop X-ray films (or process digital images).
• Ensure radiation safety protocols are strictly followed for patients and staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs.
• Prepare contrast media for specialized examinations (e.g., IVUs, Barium meals) under supervision.
• Assist radiologists during fluoroscopy or ultrasound procedures.
• Ensure routine maintenance and cleaning of radiology equipment.
• Manage the storage of films and digital archives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma in Radiography.
• Registration: Registered with the relevant Radiography Board.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a busy imaging department.
• Skills: Technical proficiency, radiation safety awareness, patient handling.

Nyuma ya Chuo cha Kiislamu (MUM), Morogoro, Tanzania.

Level of Education: associate degree
