Job Summary

Ifakara Health Institute through CARECHAIN - NCD is looking a qualified and competent Research Officer. The Research Officer is expected to collaborate within the existing clinical research platform of Heart and Lung Clinic, CDCI, Emergency department, and IMC-SFRH in the implementation of the Sub - heart study activities. This position is open for internal applicants , if you meet the required criterial you are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Screening of eligible patients to be recruited in the Sub heart study at the heart and lung clinic of St. Francis regional referral hospital.
• Participate in consenting procedure of patients to be recruited in Sub heart study.
• Participate in quantitative and qualitative data collection.
• Perform transcription of the audio - recorded data.
• Be ready to work on any other relevant duties allocated by the project principal investigator/ project leader.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum of Diploma in clinical medicine with experience in quantitative data collection.

Competent and certified on good clinical practice (GCP).

Required Experience

Minimum 1-year experience in attending and managing patients with Non communicable disease.

Desired Language

Fluent in both Swahili and English
