Dodoma Youth Development Organization (DOYODO Tanzania) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering young people and communities through development programs in the areas of economic empowerment, sexual and reproductive health, leadership, youth participation in decision-making, education, ICT, and the fight against gender-based violence.
To strengthen the implementation of its programs, DOYODO Tanzania invites applications from qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic young people who are eager to learn and contribute to community development by serving as Volunteer Project and Planning Officers.
Qualifications or requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields: Community Development, Social Sciences, Project Management, Or any other related field.
- Have graduated from an institution recognized by the Government of Tanzania.
- Be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Be between 18 and 30 years of age.
- Have a good understanding of youth development, community engagement, and project implementation.
- Be able to prepare activity reports, project documents, and conduct project monitoring activities.
- Possess strong computer skills, particularly in: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Email communication.
- Have good communication skills in both Kiswahili and English.
- Be able to work effectively in a team, manage time efficiently, and perform assigned duties professionally.
Experience needed
Previous volunteer experience or participation in community development activities will be considered an added advantage.
Responsibilities or duties
The successful volunteers will be responsible for:
- Participating in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Preparing project implementation reports.
- Coordinating training sessions, meetings, and community awareness campaigns.
- Collecting and maintaining accurate project records and data.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders in implementing development activities.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
