About Us

AFRICAN FIBRES TANZANIA LIMITED is a company engaged in sisal farming. We are looking for a skilled, hardworking, and self-motivated individual to fill the following position:

Position: Procurement & Logistic officer

Department: Accounts Department

Work Location: Ubena Estate, Chalinze, Pwani, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Duties

  • Identify procurement needs and prepare purchase requisitions.
  • Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
  • Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare purchase orders and contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier databases.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Track orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues with suppliers.

2. Logistics Duties

  • Coordinate transportation and delivery of goods.
  • Manage warehouse and inventory operations.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment when necessary.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution of materials.
  • Coordinate import/export documentation where applicable.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Logistic and procurement-related roles.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word) and modern inventory management systems.
  • Personal Attributes: High integrity, ability to work independently, strong negotiation skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
