Job Summary

The Assistant Teacher will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, stimulating, and child-centred learning environment for pre-school learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities.
• Support children during classroom activities, play, meals, and transitions.
• Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Help prepare classroom learning materials and resources.
• Supervise children and maintain a safe classroom environment.
• Observe learners and communicate developmental or behavioural concerns to the lead teacher.
• Support classroom routines and maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, parents, and school staff.
• Participate in school events and early-years activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Education, Childcare, or a related field.
• Previous experience working with pre-school or early-years children is preferred.
• Experience working within the British or American curriculum is required.
• Strong understanding of child-centred learning and early childhood development.
