About the job

The Power Engineer is responsible for supervising and supporting the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of telecom power and electromechanical systems, ensuring all activities are executed in accordance with Nokia standards, approved engineering designs, and project requirements. The role ensures reliable and safe operation of site power infrastructure including rectifiers, batteries, generators, UPS systems, and related electromechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising Installation, Testing, Put on service, and commissioning, new electromechanical equipment.
  • Directs and checks quality control and quality assurance for maintenance activities to ensure compliance with specifications and approved engineering standards and prepares technical reports in this regard as necessary.
  • Performs studies of failed equipment and makes recommendations to prevent similar Failures (Root cause analyses).
  • Able to prepare neat technical presentations and engineering letters for formal approaches with internal/ external entities.
  • Design and implement a training course for Nokia electromechanical team
  • Supporting technically roll out activities and subcontractors during network installation and operation.
  • Technical support and interface with the customer for electromechanical Network.
  • Electromechanical technical and coordination responsible for installation and operation. Ensure that Health and Safety regulations and process are respected and applies in all Installation and maintenance activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, Power Engineering, or related field with 3–6 years of experience in telecom power and electromechanical systems.
  • Proven experience in supervising installation, testing, commissioning, and put-into-service activities for electromechanical and telecom power equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, generators, rectifiers, batteries, UPS systems, grounding, and site electrical infrastructure within telecom environments.
  • Experience in conducting quality control and quality assurance activities, ensuring maintenance and installation works comply with engineering standards and project specifications.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA) on failed equipment and provide corrective and preventive recommendations.
  • Strong capability in preparing technical reports, engineering documentation, presentations, and formal technical communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience providing technical support to rollout teams and subcontractors during network installation and operational activities.
