Position Overview

Job Title: Power Plant Technician – Mechanical

Experience Required: 3 to 5 years in mechanical maintenance

Education: VETA certificate (Fitter mechanics, welding, and cutting)

Eligibility: Local candidates only

Essential Skills

• Full proficiency in repairing mechanical parts.
• The ability to take an orderly approach to overcoming machinery and process problems.
• The capacity to work effectively with others to resolve technical issues.
• In-depth knowledge of welding, cutting, and fitting techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of equipment and manage both running and breakdown maintenance tasks.
• Technical Repairs: Handle bearing and coupling replacements following standard procedures and execute shaft alignments for machinery.
• System Overhauls: Conduct equipment overhauls as specified in the Operation and Maintenance manuals.
• General Upkeep: Carry out general lubrication and greasing jobs.
• Fabrication: Perform cutting and welding tasks as required for repairs and improvements.
• Continuous Improvement: Manage various improvement jobs and complete any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
