CHATO WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION AUTHORITY (CHAWASSA)

PLUMBING TECHNICIAN (WATER PLANT OPERATOR) – 02 POSTS

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate water pumps according to approved schedules and ensure the correct amount of water is pumped from storage facilities.
• Monitor water levels in tanks and reservoirs.
• Carry out maintenance of water pumps, dosing pumps, water valves, and related equipment.
• Monitor power availability and maintain records of power interruptions.
• Ensure chlorine and other treatment chemicals are applied according to required standards.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess Form IV or Form VI education and Trade Test Grade II, Level II, or NTA Level 4 or 5 in Pump Technology, Electronics, Domestic/Industrial Electrical Installation, or other related fields from a government-recognized institution, with at least one year of relevant work experience.

Salary

Salary will be paid according to the Authority’s regulations.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS

Testimonials, provisional results, statements of results, Form IV and Form VI result slips, and transcripts not accompanied by certificates will not be accepted.

Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and recognized by the relevant authorities (NECTA or NACTE).

Applicants who submit forged certificates or false information will face legal action.

All applications must be written in Kiswahili.

Applicants must attach a copy of the National Identification Card (NIDA) or National Identification Number (NIN).
