PLUMBING TECHNICIAN GRADE II (PIPE FITTER) – 08 POSTS
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend to and report all water leakages.
- Follow up reported pipe bursts and carry out the necessary repairs.
- Prepare a list of equipment required for new connections.
- Participate in connecting water services to new customers according to established standards and procedures.
- Attend to and report water losses and distribution system faults and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
- Prepare data for periodic reports to supervisors.
- Attend to and report defects and leakages in the water distribution system through customer service lines.
- Prepare individual performance targets and standards in consultation with supervisors as part of performance agreements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess Form IV or Form VI education and a Level II Certificate in Plumbing from a government-recognized institution, with at least one year of relevant work experience.
Salary
Salary will be paid according to the Authority’s regulations.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 30 years.
Applicants must never have been convicted of any criminal offense.
All applicants must attach certified copies of academic and professional certificates, including Form IV and Form VI certificates, certified by a Magistrate or Commissioner for Oaths.
Applicants must attach a certified copy of their birth certificate.
Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), including physical address, telephone number, names of three referees, and one recent passport-size photograph with the applicant’s name written on the back.
Testimonials, provisional results, statements of results, Form IV and Form VI result slips, and transcripts not accompanied by certificates will not be accepted.
Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and recognized by the relevant authorities (NECTA or NACTE).
Applicants who submit forged certificates or false information will face legal action.
All applications must be written in Kiswahili.
