JOB DETAILS:
Background
Padre Pio College of Health and Allied Sciences is seeking to fill 3 positions for a Pharmaceutical Technician. This role is crucial for providing pharmaceutical care and managing medication dispensing within the institution's health services.
Responsibilities
- Receive, interpret, and dispense prescriptions accurately to patients.
- Counsel patients on proper medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
- Manage the pharmacy store, including stock recording, ordering, and expiry tracking.
- Maintain accurate records of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and controlled drugs.
- Assist the Pharmacist in compounding extemporaneous preparations.
- Monitor and report adverse drug reactions to the relevant authorities.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Provide health education on drug abuse and rational drug use.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or Pharmacy.
- Must be registered/licensed with the relevant National Pharmacy Board.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy.
Skills and Competencies
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong customer care skills.
- Knowledge of basic computer inventory systems.
- Integrity and ethical conduct.

Experience in Months: 24
Level of Education: associate degree
