We are seeking a dynamic and motivated People & Culture Officer to support the organisation in building a strong workplace culture, ensuring smooth HR operations, and enhancing employee engagement. The role requires someone who is both proactive and approachable — able to foster trust with staff while managing HR processes effectively.

The successful candidate will play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and policy implementation while supporting the organisation’s mission to create a positive and engaging work environment.

Key Responsibilities 1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Support recruitment efforts to attract qualified candidates.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees.
  • Ensure contracts and employee records are accurate and up to date.
  1. Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Drive initiatives to keep employees motivated and engaged.
  • Support in organising team-building and staff welfare activities.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
  1. Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Handle day-to-day HR queries and provide guidance to staff.
  • Support disciplinary processes in line with company policies and labour laws.
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures where necessary.
  1. HR Operations & Administration
  • Maintain employee files, benefits, and HR systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labour laws and workplace standards.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and updates for management.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of proven HR experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally.
  • Vibrant, approachable, and capable of managing a dynamic workforce.
