Job Summary:

The Patient Comfort Coordinator is the primary advocate for the patient's physical and emotional well-being during their stay. This role focuses on improving the "hotel" side of healthcare—ensuring the environment, food services, cleanliness, and non-clinical needs are met to reduce anxiety and improve overall satisfaction scores.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Advocacy: Actively round on patients daily to assess non-medical needs, including meal preferences, room temperature, noise levels, and privacy concerns.

Service Recovery: Intervene immediately in cases of patient dissatisfaction or complaints (e.g., long wait times, food quality, cleaning issues) to resolve problems swiftly.

Coordination: Liaise with Dietary, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Nursing departments to ensure patient requests are fulfilled promptly.

Admissions/Discharge: Ensure patients are welcomed appropriately and that discharge processes include transport arrangements and home-care coordination.

Special Needs: Arrange for special accommodations (e.g., religious needs, language interpreters, family sleeping arrangements).

Feedback: Collect and analyze patient feedback data to identify trends and recommend improvements to hospital leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality, Nursing, or related field.

Experience: 3+ years in customer service or patient relations within a healthcare setting.
