dnata Zanzibar are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and qualified team member to join our OCC team.
Responsibilities or duties
A successful Operation Support Agent ensures the safe and smooth handling of OCC task throughout by performing a multi-skilled role while utilizing the resources provided effectively. Tasks include, but are not limited to, documentation, flight operations, Load controll, compliance and audit process, Ensure that all operational messages are prepared and transmitted promptly to support safe, efficient, and well-coordinated flight operations.
- Publishes the daily Operating Schedule ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Distributes Customer notifications and operational updates to internal and external stakeholders as and when received
- Provides real time updates to the dnata team on duty regarding flight status, disruptions which may impact the operation, schedule changes, ad-hoc requests and cancellations
- Manages the dnata Operations mailbox, ensuring emails are responded to quickly and accurately whist maintaining good housekeeping of the Operations inbox and associated sub folders
- Communicates movement messages (MVT) to internal and external stakeholders, in line with Service Level Agreement (SLA) parameters
- Manages updates to the dnata FiNDnet system as and when tasks have been completed
- Ensures compliance with dnata policy and procedure, whilst promoting safe and secure operations on the ramp and within the baggage services work areas
- Updates documents within the Operations Control Centre (OCC), ensuring the latest release/versions are active, including but not limited to: dnata Ground Operations Manual (dGOM), Customer airline Ground Operations Manuals (GOM), All relevant IATA manuals
- Updates and distributes the SLA matrix in line with commercial agreements
- Implements dnata policy and procedure, ensuring Ramp team members do so also
- Actively monitors On Time Performance (OTP)
- Supports the Operations Coordinator, ensuring the smooth running of the OCC and Airside Operations
- Forecasts potential operational issues and escalates to Operations Coordinators and Duty Manager
- Responsible for maintaining inventory control and resupply of office consumables
- Records engagement times and other key milestone timings and uses information in determining accurate delay coding / reasons.
- Carries out and controls aircraft weight and balance for all departures in accordance with airline requirements. Provides Captain with required information such as EZFW, load sheet and ensures the impact of any LMC transactions after FF are incorporated and amended where necessary to ensure down line accuracy of all signals prior to PD status.
- Cooperate with your employer when they require something to be done for health and safety at the workplace
Health and safety responsibilities
- Ensure that safety briefings are conducted regularly while intervening when there is a risk exposure, role model safe behaviours and follows up on corrective actions.
- Discuss safety concerns openly and report them to the concerned supervisor.
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and control to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Act as a role model for the desire safety behaviours and wears the appropriate PPE and ensures that work is conducted in a safe manner.
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma holder in a related field
- Proficient knowledge in Airport Operations
- Advanced IT and computer literacy skills
- Excellent command of English (both oral and written)
