Shinyanga Region Co-operative Union (1984) Ltd is a secondary-level farmers’ co-operative society established in 1984. Located in Shinyanga Municipality, it includes 107 Primary Co-operative Societies (AMCOS) with 38,178 farmers. Members primarily grow cotton and mixed crops such as legumes (peas and chickpeas).

The Union has developed into a strong, autonomous organization and is currently implementing major socio-economic transformation initiatives. It invites applications from qualified Tanzanians for the following vacant positions.

Responsibilities or duties

• Advise on crop production and operations
• Manage stores and warehouses for inputs
• Plan procurement and logistics for cotton and related crops
• Coordinate marketing activities
• Analyze production, processing, and marketing information
• Train farmers through extension officers
• Promote value addition in the agricultural chain
• Prepare seasonal budgets for farm inputs

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Bachelor’s degree in General Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agro-Economics, or related field (Master’s degree an advantage)

Experience needed

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: bachelor degree
