QUALIFICATIONS:
Recruits with a Diploma in Pharmacy Technology from a Government-recognized institution who are registered with the Pharmacy Council.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying, preparing, and ordering drug and medical supply needs in their work area.
- Dispensing drugs and medical supplies to patients and staff.
- Compounding drugs.
- Storing drugs and medical supplies.
- Educating the community on the correct use of drugs.
- Inspecting drugs, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents, and cosmetics in their work area.
- Providing reports on adverse effects resulting from drug use.
- Coordinating the work of the hospital drug committee.
- Preparing reports on the use of drugs and medical supplies.
- Conducting quality investigations of drugs, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents, and cosmetics.
- Conducting various inspections in areas where drugs are stored.
- Supervising the work performance of subordinates.
- Keeping records of drugs and medical supplies.
- Performing other duties as assigned by their superior related to their education, experience, and skills.
