Medical Officer (MD) – 2 Positions

Job Summary

The Medical Officer will provide comprehensive medical care to patients through consultation, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and referral where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and medical assessments.
• Diagnose and manage common medical conditions.
• Develop appropriate treatment and management plans.
• Order and interpret relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
• Provide emergency medical care when required.
• Monitor patients' progress and arrange appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
• Refer patients to specialists or higher-level facilities when necessary.
• Participate in health education and disease prevention initiatives.
• Work closely with nurses, clinical officers, laboratory staff, radiographers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, facility policies, and professional standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Medicine and Surgery or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid registration and practicing licence with the relevant Medical Council.
• Good clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Strong commitment to patient-centred care and professional ethics.

Level of Education: associate degree
