Job Description
Vision Care is a non-governmental organization working to improve access to quality **eye health services** in underserved communities in Tanzania. The organization implements ophthalmic outreach programs, cataract surgical camps, and capacity-building initiatives in collaboration with partner hospitals and government institutions.
Vision Care invites applications from qualified Tanzanian candidates for the position of Medical Coordinator – Administration & Coordination
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate planning and scheduling of medical outreach activities, trainings, and surgical camps
- Liaise with partner hospitals, medical teams, suppliers, and relevant authorities
- Handle administrative tasks including documentation, approvals, and correspondence
- Support logistics arrangements such as transport, accommodation, and meetings
- Assist in tracking medical supplies, equipment, and consumables
- Compile activity reports and support donor and internal reporting requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related fiel
- At least 2 years of experience in program coordination or administrative roles
- Experience working with NGOs or health projects is an added advantage
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Good communication skills in English and Swahili
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
