JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary:

To assist nursing staff in providing basic patient care, ward maintenance, and emergency transport duties.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living activities (feeding, bathing, mobilizing, toileting).
• Transport patients to and from different departments (surgery, radiology, wards) via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Provide CPR and basic first aid assistance during emergencies.
• Turn bedridden patients to prevent bedsores.
• Ensure the cleanliness of ward furniture and patient trolleys.
• Assist with the preparation of patients for examination or surgery.
• Collect and deliver lab samples, medications, or documents between departments.
• Clean and sterilize minor medical equipment.
• Respond to patient call bells promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Minimum of O-Level/High School Certificate.

Certification: Certificate in First Aid/Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.

Experience: Previous experience as a porter or attendant is an added advantage.

Skills: Physical stamina, empathy, good communication skills.

Work Location Nyuma ya Chuo cha Kiislamu (MUM), Morogoro, Tanzania.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: high school
